Purchase Terms
Version November 1, 2026 · Last updated: November 1, 2026 · Previous versions
1. What these terms cover
These Purchase Terms apply to every purchase of paid fantasy packs on Virtualeagues (“we,” “us”). They are part of our Terms of Service (see its Section 10, “Virtual Items, Coins, Packs and Purchases”); if the two disagree about a purchase, these Purchase Terms apply. You agree to the version shown at checkout each time you buy; when they change, you are asked to agree to the new version before your next purchase.
VirtuaLeagues Fantasy is free to play. Joining an edition, setting lineups, the market, free packs and daily rewards cost only virtual coins that you earn by playing. Buying a paid pack is optional and is never required to play, to compete or to win: every card a paid pack can contain can also be obtained with coins.
2. What a paid pack is
A paid pack is a digital item for use only inside VirtuaLeagues Fantasy, in the one fantasy edition where you bought it. When opened it gives your fantasy team a fixed number of random player cards (the pack size shown at checkout) drawn from the players of that edition who are still available to you. A card is a licence to field that player in your fantasy squad; it is not the player, not a collectible you own, and it carries no right to anything outside the game.
- Packs come in named types (for example Silver, Gold and Platinum). Each type has its own price, size and odds, shown before you pay
- Packs, cards and coins have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or anything of value outside the Service, and cannot be transferred, sold, traded, gifted or redeemed outside the game
- A pack is tied to the fantasy edition and team you bought it for. Trades the game offers between managers happen with coins only and stay inside that edition
- The licence to a pack and its cards is personal, limited, revocable and non-transferable, as the Terms of Service describe
3. Odds and guaranteed minimums
Every paid pack type shows its odds before you pay: a guaranteed card of at least a stated rank family (for example “at least Pro”), with the exact percentage chance of each family at or above that minimum, and the other cards in the pack drawn from a stated range of rank families with their own percentages. The percentages of each table add up to 100.
- The odds shown at checkout are saved with your purchase and are the odds your pack is opened with, even if the league changes the pack later
- The guaranteed card never falls below its minimum family. If the family that was rolled has no available player left, the draw moves upwards to the next family that has one, never downwards
- The other cards stay inside their stated range; when a rolled family has no available player, the nearest family inside the range is used
- Which player you get within a family is random. Draws respect the edition’s rank rules (for example a maximum number of players of a family per squad) and never give you a player you already hold
- Rank families (Sunday Baller to Icon) are ratings produced by our rankings system and change over time; the family on a card is a rating inside our fantasy system, not a promise of how that player will perform. See Player Rankings & Rarity
4. Price, payment and who may buy
- Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. Taxes, where they apply, are shown at checkout. Prices may change at any time; a change never affects a purchase already made
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us; we keep only Stripe’s references, the amount, what you bought and the odds shown to you (see our Privacy Policy, Section 1.B)
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher). You confirm this before your first purchase and again whenever these Purchase Terms change; we keep that confirmation, with the version you accepted, on every purchase record. We do not knowingly sell to minors; a purchase made by a minor is refunded on request from a parent or guardian
- Purchases are available on the website only. Nothing can be bought in the VirtuaLeagues iOS or Android apps, and packs bought on the website are usable in the fantasy on the website
- You need a VirtuaLeagues account, a fantasy team in the edition concerned, and that edition must offer paid packs. League administrators decide whether their edition sells packs; Virtualeagues sells them and is your seller
5. Spending cap and limits
To keep paid packs a small, optional part of the game:
- Each edition sets a monthly spending cap for the packs it sells. Your confirmed payments for paid packs, minus any refunds, across all fantasy editions, are counted per calendar month (Eastern time) against the cap of the edition you are buying in. The cap, where one is set, is shown on the packs screen; a purchase that would exceed it is refused before payment
- Each pack type may have a weekly limit per manager in each fantasy edition (Monday to Sunday, Eastern time), shown with the pack. Purchases in one edition never count against the limit of another
- A pack type is offered only while it can be fulfilled: when your squad is full, the available pool is exhausted or the edition’s rank rules leave no room, the pack is shown as unavailable and cannot be bought
- We may lower the cap, pause sales or stop offering a pack type at any time. A pack you already bought stays in your inventory and opens with the odds saved on it; a payment still in progress when sales stop is either delivered or refunded in full
6. Delivery, packs that cannot be opened and automatic refunds
A paid pack is delivered digitally: once Stripe confirms your payment the pack appears in your fantasy team’s inventory, usually within seconds. You open it yourself; opening is what draws the cards.
- If the pack has not appeared a few minutes after a successful payment, reload the packs screen (it re-checks the payment) or contact us; a confirmed payment is always either delivered or refunded
- If, when you open it, the edition’s player pool has no card left to seat in the pack (no available player of the ranks it draws from), the pack is refunded automatically and in full at that moment to the payment method you used, the pack is removed from your inventory and you are told why. You never receive a partially filled paid pack
- If, when you open it, the pack cannot be opened because your own squad has no room for its cards — your squad is full, or you already hold the maximum of the ranks it draws under the edition’s rank rules — it is not refunded: the pack stays in your inventory, you are told why, and you open it once you have made room (for example by selling or releasing a player). It keeps the odds saved with it
- An unopened paid pack is refunded automatically and in full when the edition is reset or deleted by an administrator, when an administrator removes your team from the edition, or when the edition ends with the pack still unopened
- Refunds are issued through Stripe and appear on your statement within the time your bank needs (usually 5 to 10 business days)
7. Refunds, cancellation and chargebacks
Because a pack is digital content delivered immediately and its cards are random, you agree that delivery starts as soon as the pack reaches your inventory and that you lose any right of withdrawal once it is opened. Beyond the automatic refunds in Section 6:
- An unopened paid pack can be refunded on request within 14 days of purchase; contact us with the purchase date and the edition
- An opened pack is not refundable, except where the cards were not delivered as described in these terms or where the law of your country requires a refund
- Disliking the players you drew, a card’s tier or value changing afterwards, or a league ending its edition after you opened a pack are not grounds for a refund
- A pack refunded in full is removed from your inventory; a partial refund we issue (for example as a goodwill gesture) leaves the pack in place. If a refund or chargeback happens after a pack was opened, the cards may be removed from your team, and we may suspend paid packs for your account
- If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us before asking your bank for a chargeback: we answer every refund request. A chargeback on a pack you opened and kept may lead to the loss of its cards and to the suspension of your account under the Terms of Service
- Nothing here limits the rights you have under the consumer laws of your country
8. No prizes in a fantasy with paid packs
A fantasy edition that sells paid packs never offers prizes, cash or otherwise, to anyone, and an edition with a prize pool cannot sell paid packs. Our systems enforce this both ways. Buying a pack therefore cannot buy you a chance at a prize: it only affects your fantasy squad. Where a league without paid packs offers prizes, they are arranged and paid by that league, not by Virtualeagues, as its Rules screen explains.
9. Account closure and termination
Paid packs and the cards they gave you belong to the edition and team you bought them for. Unopened paid packs are refunded automatically in the cases Section 6 lists (the edition is reset, deleted or ends, or an administrator removes your team). If you leave a fantasy yourself, or your account is closed, suspended or terminated under the Terms of Service, open your paid packs first or ask us for a refund of the unopened ones under Section 7; opened packs and their cards are forfeited without compensation, except where the law requires otherwise.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these Purchase Terms. Every published version stays available under Previous versions; the version you agreed to is recorded with each purchase, and a new version applies only to purchases made after you agree to it at checkout.
